How to convey to the world what war is, it seems to be a simple task?

During the year, four international veterinary meetings together with Andrii Klietsov, Nataliia Kletsova, and with the support of the NGO SVVS (London, Valletta, Taipei, Kolobrzeg) and, finally, the fifth in Kyiv. The NGO SVVS and the veterinary community of Ukraine are grateful to Raphael Lagens, president of the World Veterinary Association (this is the oldest veterinary association that connects the veterinary profession with the most influential world organizations WHO, FAO, OIE, WFP, CFS, FVE... . strengthening the "One Health" system"), for the trust he showed us and for the accepted invitation to visit Kyiv, Lviv. Few people know, but the veterinary profession is, first of all, the preservation of humanity, and then we save animals. For example: the consequences of the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP are the work within the framework of the "One Health" system of the above-mentioned organizations, because zoonoses can destroy all living things around a natural disaster. I will come back to the visit of the president, which we organized together with His Excellency and Alla Vinyarska. We realized that Ukraine needs to be shown as it is in order to understand what war is like through the eyes of a veterinarian. Because the result we achieved is the president's emotions, which cannot be faked. We now know that the veterinary world will know more… Each brick forms an image of an incredible Ukraine. Hearing first-hand stories of vets during the war is priceless, so we would like to thank every colleague who took the time to join the “Lviv Veterinary Weekend” and share their stories.

During the visit, we visited the destroyed cities of Gostomel, Irpin, Bucha, Borodyanka, Makariv,

where civilian facilities such as schools, hospitals, universities, veterinary clinics, etc. were destroyed….

The beginning of Buchi's restoration also impressed a foreign colleague... We had the opportunity to demonstrate the veterinary heritage of Lviv Oblast, the atmosphere of a Ukrainian village, museums, the beauty of nature, incredible dishes and, of course, courageous Ukrainians...

A question was constantly heard from the president of the WVA, next to the destroyed objects, where are the military 😱 objects here, who are they destroying with "high-precision" weapons?!..

“War is the problem of the whole planet. And the purpose of my visit to Ukraine is to see and tell the world about what is currently happening in Ukraine not only in the field of veterinary medicine, but also in general. During these five days, I understood your struggle and I want to tell about it to the international community," said Rafael Laguens.

We move together in small steps to victory, each on his own front.
