On April 16-19, the 39th Annual Congress of the World Veterinary Association WVAC2024 was held in Cape Town (Republic of South Africa). We had the great honor to speak with Nataliia Klietsova with a report on the topic: "Resilience of animals and veterinary doctors in war conditions as part of One Health" .

Unfortunately, not only Ukraine is facing huge problems. We were able to see this at WVAC2024:

  • Power outages - today it is the "norm" to be without electricity for 8-10 hours a day, as it happens in South Africa.

  • The military conflict took 100,000 lives, and the consequences will have to be overcome for decades - Maro in the Philippines.

  • Hundreds of drones and rockets per day, this is Israel today.

  • Constant threats to attack the Republic of China (Taiwan) or South Korea and much, much more...

All this is familiar not only to us... such turbulent modernity.

It is necessary to talk about this continuously on all platforms, because only as a group we will be able to remain "stable" and win victory over evil.

The present of Ukrainians is very difficult and unpredictable. And in these conditions, our veterinarians try not only to survive, but also to continue their difficult work to protect and help animals.

Animals do not choose their owners by language, faith, ideology, color... they have no citizenship at all, but suffer for values unknown to the environment...

We now have the experience of keynote speakers at the opening of the WVAC2024 World Veterinary Congress.
